Home on Hold was created by local artist Naomi Rubin with support from Multnomah County Cultural Coalition. Our comic series shares stories from Pueblo Unido clients to uplift the community, spread awareness of the struggle and loss families face when they are separated by ICE, and demonstrate actions that community members can take to help free individuals from immigration detention and reunite them with their loved ones.
The stories are based on interviews with individuals who, with Pueblo Unido’s support, were able to avoid deportation and get released from detention. We hope you enjoy reading the comic and learning about the experiences of people in our community and how Pueblo Unido aims to support in the fight against deportation.
